in response to struggling single mom... I am in the same boat. My nursing job took a big pay cut before the holidays and insurance rates went up, so I dropped insurance thinking it would help. Guess what? It didn't.I too am behind in rent and utilities. i got to food banks/pantries, but my son who is 15 requires more than what we get. His father is absent, behind in child support, and my son needs medical attention for a chest deformity. I don't like asking for handouts, but I too need help...any financial help is appreciated.
